BOX OF TREASURES

I thought a super cute way of bringing your treasures to the workshops would be in old personalised shoeboxes. I love the idea of having of having Treasure Clubbers bring their knick knacks and treasures  in old shoe boxes like you would at camp.

See you soon Treasure Clubbers

RINGS x TRINKETS

♥ ♥ ♥ TREASURE CLUB DIY ♥ ♥ ♥

Blank Rings x Odds and Ends

This DIY is fairly simple but probably the easiest to wear. The possibilities for DIY rings are endless and my favourite combination is turning old badges into rings. In highschool (and even today) I collected so many badges and even made some myself. Although I still adore my collection of badges, I hardly wear them anymore (to avoid looking like Ms. Norberry from Mean Girls) so it is nice to be able to turn them into something else, and this way get to wear my favourite badges again.

Shoutout to Isabel who is the biggest Game of Thrones fan that I know ^_^

I think this DIY will be a favourite for all. Bring your trinkets to Treasure Club and turn your trinkets into treasure !

HEABANDS: BRACELETS x TOYS x RIBBON x FLOWERS

♥ ♥ ♥ TREASURE CLUB DIY ♥ ♥ ♥

Bracelets/Toys x Ribbon x Flowers

Meet Cailyn. Canadian sugar pie, promised to Nelly (the male rapper not that I'm Like A Bird lady) and cat lover xx

This is a Treasure Club favourite as it encourages you to really get creative and a little crazy with your designs. The more the better. For my headband, I chose a really bright ribbon (as you can see I collected many from my days at an all girl's highschool where we raised money by selling, yup you guessed it, ribbons. i probably bought up to five a year) as my base and chose a combination of child hood knick knacks. I can't remember who made the name chain, but I've held onto it ever since and although I feel a little silly wearing a headband with my name on it, I'm sure you own cuter treasures (or can spell out whatever you want with old chunky alphabet beads that you may have.)

Collect your own child hood treasures and bring them to your Treasure Club workshop to create your own head band !

Enjoy

INSPIRATION: CREME DE LA CREME OF DIY

Some DIY inspiration to start your week ^_^

another DIY masterpiece by Creme de la Craft

As I said earlier, Creme de la Craft is the perfect destination for DIY inspiration. I never would have thought of making something wearable, and at the very least aesthetically pleasing as pistachio shell. Innovative DIY for the week definitely goes to this gem. After all, pistachio shells are such an effort to eat and you're left so many. I would like to think you don't just happen to have jars upon jars of these empty shells lying around your house (and in case you do, did you not read my Hoarders post?!?!) but maybe the next time you're eating pistachio's and have that little creative kick in you, this would definitely be worth a try! I especially love the ombre gradient effect, but imagine the endless colour combinations that you could create yourself n_n

The second DIY inspiration post for today is also a Creme de la Craft creation and will impress you even more than the first, certainly I was.

And that wasn't a typo. That does say straws. This may seem a bit more complex than the first DIY but believe me, it isn't. It's amazing what you can achieve with a bit of glue and my favourite bit is that if neon isn't really your thing, you could use virtually any form of print or paper for the triangles (magazine clippings, maybe pages out of an old book.)

BROOCH

♥ ♥ ♥ TREASURE CLUB DIY ♥ ♥ ♥

This DIY is again one of my favourites and I think will be apart of the Treasure Club Workshops as it allows for optimum creativity whilst makes the most of whatever knick knacks you have. This little baby figurine was something that me and my friends bought on a trip to watch the film Somewhere. We bought one each and I think we just wanted to buy something because it was the first time we had all gone out since graduation, (I'm not sure if this is why we chose little baby figurines specifically) but they were so cute and I remember always intending to turn it into a kitschy necklace or brooch. So I have !

(taken on the actual day that we bought purchased our little babies. when we were very very young and excited, ha ha !)

HEADBAND: MARBLES x RIBBONS

♥ ♥ ♥ TREASURE CLUB DIY ♥ ♥ ♥

Marbles x Ribbons x Headband
Meet Tayla. Headband and bright lipstick enthusiast. Also has a crush on Matt Corby/help her bring him to her backyard (legit) visit her Corby Call Out page

Even as a child I rarely played with my marbles in the playground, I would mostly hold onto them because they were so pretty and I remember having a net sack full of marbles, yet I only kept these in my trinket box (probably because they were the prettiest.) At age 20, there isn't really much for me to do with marbles, so I thought why not adorn them instead?! They're too pretty to throw away and remind me too much of my child hood to part with.

Bring your marbles and other child hood treasures to your Treasure Club workshop and create your own head band !

INSPIRATION: FLORAL CROWN x KNICK KNACKS

Inspired by Tavi's Floral Crown Tutorial featured on Style Rookie:

Rookie Mag is a Treasure Club favourite as it features endless DIYS including knick knacks and treasure trinkets. Make sure to check out the Not-Creepy-At-All  shrine post filled with endless treasures and trinkets submitted by their avid readers.

(It was hard to choose my favourite of the 154 submissions, btu this was definitely one of my top five)

DIY Floral Crown's have been all the rage. With floral crown's trending everywhere (basically every second person on my Facebook page is selling and making their own floral crowns) what makes them even better is how easy it is to make yourself. With everyone jumping on the floral bandwagon, this DIY is a perfect way to stand out. I especially love the idea of kitschy floral crown adorned with child hood toys and knick knacks which I think will be a Treasure-Club favourite, as it is the very perfect example of the Treasure Club initiative.

Flowers and old figurines, I cannot think of a better combination.
